CRS Contractors Rental Supply offers our customers a variety of training services to help you keep your staff safe and compliant with all current health and safety regulations.

At CRS we strive to ensure we offer only the highest quality training and up to date information. We want to see your employees work safely and help ensure your companies assets are being used safely and properly.

The following is a breakdown of the courses offered and some information on the course outline. Each course begins with general course information as follows.

***This applies to all courses except Propane handling. The propane handling course materials are to TSSA/CPA requirements and are presented within those strict regulations***

WORKING AT HEIGHTS

8 HOURS

This course provides participants with an understanding of the potential fall hazards and controls, and appropriate selection, use and limitations of various types of fall protection and arresting equipment.

Work Place Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)

4-5 HOURS

WHMIS is not transferable from company to company. Each company must offer WHMIS training to new employees specific to their business.

Yearly WHMIS Review

1.5-2.5 HOURS

This course is given yearly as a refresher for employees who have taken the full WHMIS certification with their current employer.

Aerial Lift/HighReach

6-7 HOURS

This course covers all relevant legislation that the operator of this type of equipment will need to understand and follow.

Fall Arrest/Fall Protection

4-5 HOURS

This course is designed to ensure that employees who must work at heights or exposed to fall hazards are properly trained in Fall arrest and the equipment choices available and its use.

Confined Space awareness Safety

6-7 HOURS

The goals of this course are to ensure the attendee has the knowledge to understand what is needed to define a confined space, the equipment needed and the testing, monitoring and documentation required by the OHSA.

Propane/Natural Gas heaters up to 400,000 btu’s & Hot Tar Bitumen Kettles

4-5 HOURS

As specified by the TSSA and Ministry of Labour , only persons holding a valid certificate showing training in the safe handling of propane/natural gas powered heaters and equipment can handle the propane on a construction site.

Industrial Forklift

6-8 HOURS

This course when completed certifies the participants in the use of industrial straight mast forklifts and ensures understanding of the requirements and responsibilities of the operator.

Telescopic Handler(Zoomboom)

5-7 HOURS

This course when completed will give the participant certification on the proper use and handling of a rough terrain telehandler.

SkidSteer/Mini Excavator Operator Safety

6-7 HOURS

The outline of this course is to inform the operator of the proper and safe use of a skidsteer loader and Mini Excavator.
